E JE KA FINU DIDUN

Writer: John Milton (1608-1674), 1623
E je k' a f' inu didun,
Yin Oluwa Olore;
Anu Re, o wa titi,
L' ododo dajudaju.

O'n, nipa agbara Re,
F' imole s' aiye titun;
Anu Re, o wa titi,
L' ododo dajudaju.

O mbo awon alaini,
Ati gbogbo alaye;
Anu Re, o wa titi,
L' ododo dajudaju.

O bukun ayanfe Re
Li aginju iparun;
Anu Re, o wa titi,
L' ododo dajudaju.

E je k' a f' inu didun,
Yin Oluwa Olore;
Anu Re, o wa titi,
L' ododo dajudaju.

  1. Let us, with a gladsome mind,
  2. praise the Lord, for he is kind:

  3. Refrain:
    for his mercies aye endure,
    ever faithful, ever sure.

Let us blaze his Name abroad,
for of gods he is the God:

He with all commanding might
filled the new-made world with light:

He the gold-tressèd sun
caused all day his course to run:

The horned moon to shine by night,
mid her spangled sisters bright:

All things living he doth feed,
his full hand supplies their need:

He His chosen race did bless
In the wasteful wilderness

Let us, with a gladsome mind,
praise the Lord, for he is kind:
